Dr Hertzberg is a native of Naperville, IL, a western suburb of Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1996 with a degree in biochemistry. He then went to the University of Illinois at Chicago for dental school and graduated in 2000. He finished his residency in orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003. After graduation he started an orthodontic practice that was partnered with a large pediatric dental office in the north suburb of Grayslake. His practice focused on Phase I treatments as well as traditional orthodontic treatment. There was also a focus on special needs care on patients that were not able to get orthodontic treatment at other offices. He has extensive experience with combined orthodontic and pediatric treatments and can treat the most complex of problems. He also worked in a Spear Study Club which focuses on complex adult restorative care.
He has been working with Invisalign since 2000 and has experience from Phase I all the way to complex adult cases.
He sold his office in Illinois and moved to Texas in 2019 and has worked at several orthodontic offices in the area and is excited to be back working with a pediatric dental team again at Austin Children’s Dentistry.
He currently lives in Cedar Park and has been married since 1998 and has a daughter who is 20 and son who is 18. He enjoys free time walking and hiking with his 3 beagles. He also enjoys watching soccer and football, even though the Chicago Bears are not so fun to watch recently.
